If the room fills to capacity for the 7pm show a second show will be added at 8:30pm. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival for $5 each, or $25 for the whole family. The family friendly show is geared to kids and adults.

Golf Cart Parade Postponed

posted Jul 4, 2021, 6:30 AM by Mike Anson   [ updated Jul 4, 2021, 7:24 AM ]

Due to the poor weather conditions the Recreation Committee has decided to cancel the PARADE today.

The PARADE is rescheduled for TOMORROW MORNING, MONDAY, July 5th. Line up at the Community Center will begin at 9:00 am and the parade will begin at 9:30 sharp. Due to an anticipated long ferry line, the parade route will be altered to avoid the corner of Sunset and Leisure and will instead go up Paddock Lane to Timber to Leisure.

Good News!  We now are stocked with ceramics and paint for the year.   Please visit for a list of inventory and ordering information for contactless pickup.

The Community Center remains closed at this time.  Thank you for your understanding.  We have some fun new alternatives being planned for family fun so stay tuned as we gear up for the summer.

Trails: Partnering with the Conservation Commission, we have begun to reawaken the island trails from their winter slumber.  We will be making improvements to signage this year as well.  If you are interested in volunteering to help clean out trails, please contact Mike Anson at

FINS 5/29/20 Rec News

posted Jun 2, 2020, 12:31 PM by Mike Anson

Frye Island Recreation is continuing to monitor the Covid-19 situation, State of Maine, and BOS orders and
adjust plans accordingly. We still look forward to seeing friendly faces at a safe social distance! We are
planning fun new alternatives, such as take home crafts, virtual games (Candy Bar Squares), and other new
surprises that will allow us to connect with our friends in a safe manner. Stay tuned for more information on
that! That being said:

The Community Center/Fitness Center will not be opening in May or June.
Implementation of Summer Day Camp programming is suspended for 2020.

Thanks for your understanding as we adapt to these changes. Be safe, be well! Any questions
